The three-way collaboration is certainly bang on-trend at the moment, and coincidentally the upcoming UNDERCOVER x sacai x Nike LDWaffle that consists of three colourways (“Bright Citron”, “Red/Blue” and “Purple Blue”) has just been given an official release date. The pack comes directly after a similar effort that involved CLOT, however this time it’s Jun Takahashi’s well-known label that teams up with Chitose Abe and the Swoosh label.
All three colourways sit perfectly well on the now renowned LDWaffle silhouette that’s based off of early prototypes crafted by bill Bowerman, one of Nike’s co-founders. The unique-looking outsole shape was initially the product of Bowerman experimenting with his wife’s waffle iron in purchase to improve outsole grip.

Plenty of different panels reside on the upper and are crafted from leather, suede and even mesh. the most visible characteristic of these sneakers is the doubling of essential details, including the Swoosh logos, tongues, laces and even the midsole.
